Perimeter
Clearing the center gives you a stage, a lab floor, or a place to pull a small group without moving everyone. Students along the walls can still see a demonstration if you stand in the middle. It is a poor fit when the board on one wall is the only thing that matters, because half the class is sideways to it.
Use it when
- Demonstrations and floor work
- Art, drama, and labs that need open space
- Pulling a small group into the middle while others work
Pick something else when
- Everyone must face one board for most of the lesson
- You need dense seating for a large class
- Wall space is already taken by cabinets and doors
